Concrete jungles, deserts, towering mountains, rolling pastures and endless orchards are all parts of the scenery during a drive up the golden West Coast. Every detour off any highway leads you to another magnificent site and these detours are somehow more memorable than the destination. Spontaneous dancing in a sudden rainstorm at the base of Mt. Shasta, stops at Bravo Farms or strolls through Weed, California and Boring, Oregon turned out to be just as exciting as Crater Lake or Portland. Not to mention the beautiful campsites that are just outside of Eugene and Portland or the ever-impressive Yosemite National Park outside of Fresno. The best part about starting South and going North, the sun sets later and the adventures get longer.
